Net Art in Marielund

Craft barn with exhibition and shop.

In the village of Marielund lives the artist Kerstin Holmgren. She has the fascinating ability to make her net animals look alive. In the yard in Marielund, she has her artworks scattered wherever they fit, both for her own sake and for the general public viewing for the visitors who come to her craft barn in the summer.

In the barn, she sells art and crafts, both her own and others. You can also buy a cup of coffee and some delicious home-baked treats to eat. Additionally, she loves animals in general, so dogs and cats, rabbits, chickens, and sometimes more exotic animals are available to pet and photograph on the farm.

Driving by car to Marielund takes about 40 minutes from central Arjeplog. Drive west on the Silver Road, Road 95, for 15 km. Turn left towards Maskaur and Båtsjaur. Drive past Maskaur and continue another 7 km to Marielund.
