For those who love cross-country skiing, the municipality of Arjeplog is the perfect place. Here, you will find fine and well-maintained cross-country trails for both classic skiing and skating in both the town of Arjeplog and in some of the larger villages. You can enjoy the beautiful nature along mountains, valleys, lakes, and waterways as you glide along. There are also 1600 kilometers of well-prepared snowmobile trails, which for skiers, also provide a way into the fantastic and majestic nature of the Arjeplog mountains.
In Arjeplog, there are two illuminated trails: Djuptjärn’s illuminated trail with loops of 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 20 km, and Öberget’s illuminated trail with a 2.5 km loop. At Djuptjärn, there is also a technique loop with a hill where you can practice bumps and jumps, as well as a biathlon facility.
In the village of Laisvall, there are illuminated trails of 1 km and 2.5 km, and in Mellanström, there is an illuminated trail of 2.5 km.
