For those who love cross-country skiing, Arjeplog Municipality is the perfect place. Here, you’ll find excellent and well-maintained cross-country ski trails for both classic skiing and skating, both in the town of Arjeplog itself and in several larger villages. You can enjoy the beautiful nature along mountains, valleys, lakes, and waterways as you glide along. There are also 1600 kilometers of well-prepared snowmobile trails, which also serve as paths into the fantastic and majestic nature of the Arjeplog Mountains for skiers.
In Arjeplog, there are two illuminated ski trails: Djuptjärn’s illuminated trails offer distances of 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 20 km, and Öberget’s illuminated trail is 2.5 km long. At Djuptjärn, there is also a technical trail with a hill where you can practice bumps and jumps, as well as a biathlon facility.
In the village of Laisvall, there are illuminated ski trails of 1 km and 2.5 km, and in Mellanström, there is a 2.5 km illuminated ski trail.
