Where else could it be more fitting to film Kerstin Ekman’s novel “Händelser vid vatten” (Blackwater) than here in Arjeplog, where you can indulge in nearly 9,000 lakes? In our mountainous archipelago, they filmed scenes that were meant to resemble the book’s Svartvattnet. Some of the locations within the municipality used for various scenes include Laisvallby, Märkforsen, Veijenäs, Skeut, and Lövnäs.
